AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) blocks are lightweight, precast building blocks made from fly ash, cement, lime, gypsum and an aerating agent. Millions of tiny air pockets make them strong yet up to three times lighter than conventional red bricks — cutting structural load, speeding up construction, and improving thermal and sound insulation.
Around one-third the weight of red bricks — less dead load on the structure and lower steel and foundation cost.
The air-pocket structure keeps interiors cooler in summer and warmer in winter, reducing cooling and heating bills.
Non-combustible and able to withstand high temperatures for several hours, adding safety to every wall.
The porous body absorbs sound well, making it ideal for partition walls between rooms and units.
Made largely from fly ash, an industrial by-product — no topsoil use like clay bricks and very little site waste.
Large, uniform, precise blocks lay quickly with thin-bed mortar — less breakage, less plaster, faster walls.
AAC blocks are being added to the Friends product range. Full specifications, sizes and pricing will be available here shortly. For early enquiries, reach us on WhatsApp.
